Let's build a clinic in Uganda

THAT'S SSUUBO CLINIC IN BUIKWE!
Our dream is slowly taking shape! A dream clinic for the treatment of sickle cell anemia in Uganda. Introducing the first pictures of the SSUUBO clinic.
In June 2024, we launched a public fundraiser with the aim of securing 2 million czech crowns /aprox. €80.000/ for the construction of our own building within the John Paul II Clinic, where we have been operating in temporary and now inadequate premises for over five years. A lot has happened in a year. In January 2025, we learned that we could not build on the land of the John Paul II Clinic, which we had been counting on until then. At that moment, we knew that one pavilion with surgeries and an ICU would not be enough for us, that we would need a laboratory, spaces for physiotherapy, administration, social and psychological work. Therefore, in April 2025, we purchased our own, sufficiently large, land to build the best clinic for the treatment of sickle cell anemia in Uganda.
And because we are heartthrobs, we joined forces with heartthrobs from the luni architectural studio. Mrs. Nina Ratočka Pevná and Mr. Lukáš Janout have been working intensively on the final form of the clinic in recent months. luni is SSUUBO.
We have handed over the drawings to our Ugandan colleagues from the design office and at the same time we are launching the final call domestically. It is still possible to contribute to the construction through a public collection account at Moneta Money Bank.
